Bring your old t-shirts and your personal sewing machines to PPL this March and get quilting!
Judy Harness will lead a 4-week class on consecutive Tuesday’s in March – the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th – at 6:00 p.m. in the Makerspace.
This class has a limit of 8 people and is for ages 18+. Please sign-up in advance in Adult Services to reserve your spot.
“We have held quilting classes in the past that were pretty successful,” said Stacy Prather, Adult Programming Coordinator at PPL. “We are always working on bringing diverse programming to the library and we know, based on patron feedback, that there is a need/want for more sewing classes. We have the library stitch group that meets once a month, but nothing specific to quilting, hence the creation of this 4-part class. Our overall goal is to create more opportunities for PPL patrons to come try new things!”
“There is no fee for the class, but you will be making your own individual quilt, so you will need to bring your own shirts and sewing machine, as well as certain supplies that go toward the creation of your quilt,” said Prather. “For some, they may already own the necessary supplies. For others, they will need to purchase the items themselves. “
Pick up your list of supplies at sign-up and start quilting this March!
See you at the library!
