Thanks to Hoopla – a free website/app that you get access to by having a valid PPL card – convenient music is always at your fingertips.
Hoopla currently allows 18 checkouts per month, and an entire album only counts as one checkout! Along with new releases, they also offer exclusive compilations and older albums of many popular artists.
Hoopla’s music selection is massive. They currently offer 51,696 titles, with new titles added each month. There is something for everyone, no matter what genre you like: popular artists such as Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Kenny Chesney, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, Lauren Daigle, Chris Stapleton, and more are all available for free! Many of the musicians I just listed have their newest releases available, like Lady Gaga’s new album “Chromatica,” and Kenny Chesney’s new album “Here and Now.” Thanks to Hoopla, I was able to listen to the new “RTJ4” album from Run the Jewels, which was especially great because the only other way to do so is by paying for it through iTunes!
Hoopla also has many full soundtracks, including popular titles such as “Hamilton: The Original Broadway Cast Recording,” “Frozen II,” “The Greatest Showman,” and a lot more.
Also available are dozens of compilations and mixtapes, from the super popular mainstream “Now!” and “Kidz Bop” series. There are even special mixes/compilations that are made strictly for Hoopla, with titles like “90’s Hip-Hop,” “80’s Mixtape,” “Top Christian,” “Country Summer Jams,” and more.
Music on Hoopla can easily be downloaded to your preferred smart device (I use my iPhone) and then played in your car, either through a Bluetooth connection or an auxiliary cord directly into your stereo.
Jam out this summer with free music on Hoopla!
See you at the library!
